Xcmg’s 4,000t Crawler Crane Now In Oman

In October 2019, XCMG’s 4,000t crawler crane made its first overseas operation and finished hoisting the 1,926t scrubbing tower in Saudi Arabia. Recently, the crane made another hoisting operation in the Sultanate of Oman.

XCMG XGC88000 crawler crane started the hoisting operation in Duqm Oil Refinery of Oman Oil Refinery in the desert. The hoisted equipment in Oman was DHT (diesel hydrogen treatment) reactor weighing 970 tons. The XCMG equipment operated steadily, finishing hoisting and turning in an easy way. The performance of the crane was not impacted by desert climate. In just a few hours, the hoisted equipment was positioned in the designated place, marking the operation made complete success.

In the three-month construction period, 15 parts need to be hoisted by the crane, with the smallest part weighing 300t and the largest one weighing about 1,200t.
