Giti Tire is proud to launch its first TPMS system for commercial tires. First announced at the CV Show in Birmingham, UK, ‘Giti Fleet SMART’ makes it possible for fleet owners and operators to continually monitor and analyze fleets’ tires. The acronym SMART stands for Smart, Monitoring, Air pressure, Real time, and Technology, and at its current stage will be available for Giti fleet customers in the EU market.
Information about maintenance and other data is gathered instantly and electronically by the new TPMS system, which is then able to predict and prevent potential tire failures. In the case any loss in tire pressure is detected, SMART immediately sends notifications to the driver and the fleet’s base. The fleet is then able to analyze and address the situation, including contacting their nearest Giti dealer or utilizing the GitiAssist roadside program. Altogether, the system makes fleets more efficient, reducing their downtime, and therefore saving them money.
At the CV Show, the Giti team demonstrated the new TPMS system to both new and existing customers, and received great feedback about how can benefit fleet operators both from an operational and financial perspective. Commenting on the new TPMS system, Tony McHugh, TBR Sales and Marketing Director UK at Giti Tire, described how the TPMS system will be an essential component of the company’s effort to minimize roadside breakdowns, through immediately notifying both the driver and the workshop of pressure loss, and offering steps to take remedial action without disruption in services.
The SMART TPMS system program is just one of many ways that Giti Tire offers benefits to its fleets, including training programs, various materials, and other support items. By providing the best service and resources along with top quality products, it is the aim of Giti to provide the best value and efficiency for the fleets it serves. Giti developed Giti Fleet SMART in collaboration with TyreWatch.com.
